Edgbaston Cricket Ground redevelopment - November update
Here is my November update, following the previous October update Edgbaston Cricket Ground redevelopment - October update, showing work at the cricket ground redevelopment from the 18th November 2010.
While work continues, with a scheduled launch on August 10th 2011 with the first day of a showpiece test match against India following a contract completion date of 1st July 2011, the Birmingham Post has reported that
Warwickshire CCC bowled over with demand ahead of grand opening with the 128 year old club selling £500,000 worth of hospitality packages.
The redeveloped ground will see the seating capacity expand to 25,000 and a new conference and banqueting suite for 700 guests. The premium hospitality lounge will be titled the Jaguar Club following an earlier announcement of a three year sponsorship deal with Jaguar.
Across the road work continues on the Aldi store adjacent to Hemisphere with steelwork now erected.
