Height of Eastside - Hotel La Tour Opens

It's been a couple of months since the opening of new hotel Hotel La Tour which has fused function and form with new technology such as Hi-tech Transactional Services (HTTS) technology self service kiosks together with a renowned chef Marcus Wareing inspired restaurant and bar serving modern British classics.

The £24m four star 174 bedroom hotel is the first in what is planned as a group of five hotels and the hotel comes ahead of over 30 new hotels planned or being constructed in Birmingham hoping to capitalise on the 32.8m visitors who came to Birmingham in 2010.  The hotel will also provide valuable job opportunities for local people with 2,000 candidates applying for 100 full- and part-time jobs, http://www.caterersearch.com/Articles/27/03/2012/342975/Hotel-La-Tour-opens-in-Birmingham-after-16324m-investment.htm

The new restaurant serving modern British classics and taking it's lead from renowned chef Marcus Wareing also fuses the modern with the wine list presented on a tablet computer while the food is inspired with the modern with a twist with a tempting Jaffa Cake inspired pudding amongst it's menu, http://www.birminghammail.net/what-is-on-in-birmingham/birmingham-restaurant-reviews/food-and-drink/2012/05/11/restaurant-review-aalto-restaurant-in-hotel-la-tour-birmingham-97319-30948629/2/
The ambitious aim of the restaurant is to make it a destination in itself, inspired by the high-end restaurant, Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley, which is regarded as one of the best places to eat in London, http://www.birminghampost.net/life-leisure-birmingham-guide/restaurants-birmingham-midlands/2012/05/11/marcus-wareing-on-his-work-with-hotel-la-tour-65233-30931667/

The pictures below show the work to complete the hotel and the completed hotel which will provide an important focus and link to Eastside as the new Eastside City Park opens later in the year and the Birmingham City University campus continues to develop.

this hotel looks like it will be pretty eye-catching... I'm thinking of moving to Brum soon, do you know of anywhere I can find Birmingham city centre apartments to let around this part of Birmingham? I only know of Curzon Gateway and I'm pretty sure that's just for students.
