Selly Oak Student blocks

Since my last photos of January 2013, Selly Oak New Road student flats, there has been rapid progress on the Victoria Hall Phase III, http://dale-road.victoriahall.com, student flats block being built adjacent to the Bourn Brook and Selly Oak New Road.

Across the road, the University of Birmingham's Jarratt Hall extension is also seeing rapid progress.  The hall designed by Associated Architects, http://www.associated-architects.co.uk/projects/housing/jarratt-hall/, accommodates flats for 4, 5, or 6 people with shared kitchen and lounge and providing 120 en-suite bedrooms.  The Jarratt Hall student village complex was completed in 2001 and the extension sits adjacent to the Selly Oak New Road, facing the new Victoria Hall student block.  The £8.4m project is due to be complete for the start of the academic year in 2013.
