Naming Birmingham

The Birmingham Post has revealed City Council plans for Birmingham public to choose new city street names. The council is running a competition for streetnames which will be compiled in a list which developers and housebuilders will have to choose from for new roads.

Birmingham City Council is asking residents to come up with names which properly reflect the history and culture of the city and has teamed up with the Odeon Cinema in a competition. All good suggestions will be placed on a list from which house builders and developers will have to choose. For a chance to name a street and win family cinema tickets, text street followed by your proposed street name and area to 60066.
