Fertile West Midlands
The Birmingham Post reported on the 10th July that West Midlands has highest fertility rate in the UK.
Amongst individual local authorities in England, Newham in East London had the highest rate with 2.71 children per woman while Westminster had lowest with 1.24.

The national average was 1.91 children per woman - the highest figure since 1973, when each woman gave birth to two children on average
