Council housing the Birmingham way

The Birmingham Post reports that Birmingham City Council is to embark on an ambitious council housing building programme to build 500 new council homes a year dwarfing the 375 homes that were built across the whole country last year,

The City Council has appointed local architects Axis Design Collective and BM3 to design 131 homes for the first phase of it's plans with a £15.2 million investment for sites in Kings Norton, Hodge Hill, Sparkbrook and Handsworth.
