Kings Heath Squares for October date

Saturday 15th October will see the formal opening of the new Kings Heath Village Square in the presence of The Rt. Revd. David Urquhart, Bishop of Birmingham and The Lord Mayor of Birmingham at 10am, http://fbec.org.uk/2011/09/26/formal-opening-of-kings-heath-village-square/

The square is now moving rapidly towards completition with the installation of sections of flooring with verse inscribed in them and the planting of trees and installation of lamposts.

The improved square will further add greenery to the Kings Heath and supplement it's floral trail which was awarded Gold in the Urban Community category of the Heart of England awards. Together with Moseley in Bloom which won Gold Birmingham will be representing the Midlands region in the 2012 national Britain in Bloom finals in the Large City category, http://martinmullaney.blogspot.com/2011/09/moseley-and-kings-heath-win-gold-in.html

Kings Heath Floral Trail will be joining Birmingham in representing the region in Britain in Bloom 2012.
Moseley in Bloom represented the region in the national competition in 2011 and won a Silver Award.
