Eastside Park in January
Here are some photos showing the new Eastside City Park from 13 January 2013. The park provides a welcoming space to relax, even in the cold wintery weather, and will provide a valuable stretch of green space a short walk from Birmingham Moor Street Station and a soft welcome to Millennium Point's Thinktank and the Birmingham City University Eastside Campus.
What is crucial is the space is accessible to all of Birmingham's residents but also that it is well maintained. The design and materials should ensure it is inexpensive to maintain but the test of it's robust design will come in Summer 2013, weather permitting, with what will conceivably be a space of relaxation, pleasure and enjoyment for visitors and nearby students and residents.
