After Eastside, a new Westside for Birmingham
Property Week has reported on the Birmingham City Council led partnership of developers in the Westside Area; Brum sets up Westside partnership. The area covers from New Street Station through to Five Ways and Edgbaston and is part of the Big City Plan. The partnership has produced a brochure to promote the area with an aim of hosting up to £2.6bn of future development projects.

Developments in the Westside Area include.
Pentavia - A scheme adjacent to Auchinleck House with 28 storey tower and including 120,000 sq ft offices, four star and two star hotel and luxury apartments and enclosed retail mall centred around a winter garden.
Arena Central - A 7.6 acre site on the site of the ITV studios, formerly of ATV. 2.3 million sq ft mixed use development with shops, offices and leisure / entertainment.
Baskerville Wharf - A mixed use development site linked to the completed redevelopment of Baskerville House and providing a link between the Jewellery Quarter and the civic centres and Arena Central.
