Bowled Out by Regeneration II

On November 16th I noted the plans by Warwickshire Cricket Club for it's redevelopment of Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Bowled out by regeneration.

A planning application has now been submitted to Birmingham City Council.


Land at Edgbaston Road, 308-330 Pershore Road, and off Constance Road, Warwickshire Country Cricket Club, Edgbaston, B5 7QU

New stand incorporating spectator seating, player, media & visitor facilities, museum & library, club shop & offices, conferencing, banqueting & exhibition facilities. Erection of five floodlighting columns & lights. Demolition of two dwellinghouses at the cricket club, & twelve dwelinghouses on Pershore Road. Erection of a mixed-use development comprising Residential, Offices (Use Classes B1(a) and (b)), Hotel, Retail (A1), Restaurants/Cafes (A3) Pubs/Bars (A4), Leisure (D2), & Creche (D1). Surface, basement & multi-storey parking, public plaza, & hard & soft landscaping.
