Hotel La Tour parks in Eastside
In my post highlighting the number of new hotels being developed around Birmingham, Short stay room for long term regeneration, I made a conspicuous absence by not noting the Hotel La Tour four star hotel on Moor Street Queensway. The four-star nine storey hotel is part of the City Park Gate masterplan and will boast 12,000 sq ft of function and meeting room space alongside 174-bedrooms, restaurant, bar, gym and 25 car parking spaces.

Work is now underway on the site with construction by contractor Galliford Try on the £16m hotel. Photos of the site are shown below.
The new design replaces the earlier approved Lewis & Hickey 14-storey hotel, La Tour 4* Hotel continues City Park Gate development. The development is part of Quintain’s wider City Park Gate development, Gateway to City - Quintain submits planning application for City Park Gate, although the city centre terminus for the High Speed Rail extension adjacent to this and Moor Street Station is likely to see significant changes to plans. The recession saw these earlier plans, shown below to be revised.
